TAKAMINE Hirade H5 Nylon ACOUSTIC CLASSICAL GUITAR Pro Series Solid Cedar
From the famous Nippon Gakki plant in Japan comes to you this 1968-1972 Yamaha Classical guitar. Made of all - solid (mainly japanese)woods, this finely made guitar features solid seasoned spruce top, katsura back and sides, bubinga bridge and fretboard, nato wood neck.
Result? - a bold, distinctive and well-pronounced and very well balanced sound, kind a turn-your-head, and in-your face,- somewhat unusual sound, relatively loud, with beatifull mids and articulate highs, no mudding at all - thats for sure. Hence GREAT for baroque music, older Bach-type classical where showing off great fingerpicking is a must., bass is balanced and not overpowering and yet, supportive. Supprisingly - decent chording as well. Easy to play, great overall action.
Stracturally very sound as well., though does have a bottom-front surface repair about 5''long by 3/8'' in width, which does not seem to affect the sound. Otherwise - low action, comfortable, straight neck, - all original parts and finish., double bindings, (front-multi-layered,) all-wood inlayed rosette. Very-well built, which is not surprising coming from Nippon Gakki, during probably its most quality years, when the japanese,
armed with some of the Gibson craftsman, seriousely wanted to penetrate american guitar market. 14-5/8'' in width, 39'' long, 4'' at thickest.,2-1/16 at the nut. Bone saddle. No case but I pack very well. Fully-insured shipping from lower 48. All else - please contact me first. Questions welcomed.
Well/. Good luck and Happy bidding !
